Inspiration and Color
More often than not, my inspiration comes from
color.
Anything from a colorful advertisement to watching the sun set, and
everything in between. Right now the colors of early spring seem
dazzling in a world that hasn't quite let go of winter yet.For example, here are 2 ads that caught my eye:
![]() Many jewelry designers go for a unified theme, with
just
a few colors in their palettes. One prefers muted pearls, while another
makes things only in purple. You won't find that in my designs, because
I'm too hooked on color to narrow it down. Seeing
the bright yellows and pinks outside doesn't necessarily mean that I'm
inspired to use just those shades. Usually one color is enough to get me
thinking about others, and I find myself pulling out one color box after another. It's something I love to do. And in the early days of spring, inspiration seems to be everywhere. And isn't that what makes spring so wonderful? Enjoy!

This month, the designs are all about color. A rainbow of shades, plus an icy pink that recalls chillier days. First up, a bracelet that was lots of fun to make:
Next, two bracelets run the full spectrum; one is on stretchy cord and the other has a striking crystal clasp:
These pink and green beads give just the right hint of springtime:
And these 2 bracelets celebrate the the rich hues of summer blues and greens:
Clear cystals are all about reflected light:
Followed by shades of bright sun, blue sky, and deep evening:
